I’m using an old Spectrum +2 that hasn’t been used for a long time, and it works fine except I can’t seem to get my TV exactly tuned in to it. By using the fine tuning setting on the old 14 inch TV I’m using for authenticity’s sake, I either get a perfect, pin sharp picture but no sound except for a huge amount of hiss, or I get perfect sound but a slightly wonky picture.
It goes from one extreme to the other in about four clicks of the “fine tune” button and there is no sweet spot in the middle with good picture and listenable sound.
Does anyone know how I can fix this ? I want to use the spectrum on the old TV because using it on a flat screen just seems wrong.
