Just secured Leamington Rugby Club as a venue for a gaming event this summer - July 19th and 20th. The venue can accomodate around 130 ppl.

What I was thinking, and I am thinking aloud here, the event would have:

2 Projectors - I own one and the venue has one, for competitions and big gaming fun (Songstar, Guitar Heroes, Donkey Konga etc)

8-10 cabs - I will bring 2 MAME cabs. I will ask Philip Oliver to borrow his Pacman original again. Will source the rest. Can anyone help?

6 (?) x 360 link up - Call of Duty 4 and whatever else. I will look to you guys to help here to bring your 360’s and screens.

Lots of systems. I can bring:

1) Chipped Xbox1 + Screen
2) Spectrum 128k + Microdrive + TV
3) Gamecube
4) Chipped Psone
5) Japanese chipped Saturn
6) PS2 + 10″ LCD screen
7) XBOX 360
8 ) I will bring my Wii and PS3 if needed.

Q/A session - will invite some of my contacts and persuade them to come - Archer, Olivers, Jon Hare, Fred Gray, Pickfords etc. Also I will invite Tim Daniel (the soon to be famous pop star guy who I am currently making a cab for - he may indeed be quite famous by the summer).

I want the event to be linked to the Everyman charity again - so ticket price (12) minus event costs will go to Everyman.

So, one of our managers in Huddersfield phoned us today to tell us one of the customers has been in saying GS are destroying their retro stock. Not writing down, not selling off, not moving destroying. Info from customers is ropey at best so I went to ask the manager in Doncasters branch of Gamestation and he’s fucking right. No retro stuff ANYWHERE on the shop floor or in the window. He says the area manager came round and did it personally, probably so the staff couldn’t ‘destroy it’ and take it home for profit or keeping. For some reason it felt like a knife had been stabbed in my heart and twisted, or like I heard the sound of a 1000 voices cry out in pain and then were suddenly cut off
