RLLMUK’s Ship setup thread

I haven’t seen a thread on this but this is one game that I really cannot wait for. The Hot Shots Golf series has been a big favourite ever since I played the first one in a hotel in Belgium on those weird pay to play PS1 machines they have. I had to buy it and it started a huge love affair with the game.

It’s very strange as I cannot stand Golf. Not to watch and I have no interest in playing the thing. This series is one of the most relaxing games I have ever played and hours literally pass when I start a game.

The PS3 version is looking good. I justwant them to hurry up and get it out.

Just out of curiosity, I wanted to see who here prefers to stick with the older stuff and hasn’t yet progressed onto an Xbox 360 a WII or a PS3.

I do like good graphics, but I feel that there is so much on previous consoles that ive yet to play, that I just stick to those for now. The main console ive used in the last few years has been my PS2, and there are so many decent bargains to be had. Just recently though as my sister took the PS2 for several weeks, ive put on my PS1 again to start some older stuff such as Resident Evil and just lately Final Fantasy Tactics.

I’m pretty happy sticking to these for a while, and prefer to keep myself behind for a few reasons. One is that it’s cheaper to get things (except those extortionate hard to find RPG’s) and secondly, I don’t want to get so used to current gen graphics, so that I take it for granted and get a shock when going back to older gen gfx. For some its not about gfx, but it can still have a negative effect when moving backwards after playng on much more advanced games. One thing I have noticed though, you can get used to older graphics if you stick with the game(s) on that console/system. I remeber when I switched Resident Evill on for the first time a few weeks back. I wasn’t keen on the graphics, but about an hour into it, i’d totally gotten used to them and saw them as being quite good.

It’s a question ive always wanted to ask here.
