I am considering getting a PSP but am not sure; you don’t seem to get much talk of the console at all on this forum.

I am looking at getting a selection of Football Manager Handheld, PES 2008, Ridge Racers, Hot Shots Golf, Lumines, Silent Hill, Syphon Filter and GTA.

To me it appears that the console has plenty of worthwhile games but i’m put off a little by the lack of attention it seems to get on this forum but i’m thinking this may be due to the slight Nintendo bias of this forum.

So; discuss your PSP experience, discuss games you’ve played etc. Are they worth getting or not?

I recently got playing garrys mod during lunch at work and it reminded me how cool it was and how there was more to it than just making g-man look crazy.
Getting home, i bought it on steam and had a look at a few mods, this lead me to discover ‘Spacebuild’ and it’s associated mods.

The premise of this game mode is that you start on a planet and build a spaceship to reach other planets. When you get off the planet and out of the atmosphere there is no gravity, and what’s more there is no air or pressure. So, to keep yourself alive in space you have to construct a network of resource gathering and power facilities to charge storage which you can attach to your ship. You could also create a ship which is self sufficient, this is a lot more challenging though requiring onboard power generation from solar cells, air scrubbers and heat exchangers.

Along with this i also found out about ‘Wiremod’ and this one really blows me away. It’s an electronics suite for garrys mod; when i say electronics i don’t mean switches, lights and batteries. I’m talking about programmable chips, logic gates and sophisticated inputs outputs and displays. Some of the creations those techincally inclined folks have made just blow me away: A turret which tracks targets, ranges them and fires a cannon ball to hit them, perfectly ballistically calculated. There’s a sniper turret which this guy demonstrated shooting bananas he chucked up in the air from the other side of ‘hugeflatmap’ These are with the chips these guys have programmed, there is no tracking ai chip.

Crazy stuff. I’m off to try conquer the galaxy, give me a yell if you play this my Steam is Raane. Sorry if this is already posted
