The $3000 horse came to a close last night, crowning Jens Voertmann as its winner. Voertmann took the title dominating his opponent in a series of Stud 8 hands. Here’s how the final table shaped up:

Event 23
The $2000 NL Hold’em event has been played down to a final 9. The hand to pop the bubble saw Alessandro Dalbello move all-in under the gun with #Ac#9h but was called by David Steicke’s #Ah#Qh, the board bricked out for the short stack, coming, #As#Kc#Ts#7h#Ks leaving us with our final table for tomorrow.

Event 24
On the way to the bubble, school was out early for the Professor. Howard Lederer as he busts in 11th place. On Lederer’s last hand he got all-in on a flop of #Ks#Qd#4d during a round of Omaha.
Lederer showed A-K-9-3 which was trailing his opponent’s K-Q-T-4. The board finished out with no help for Lederer and he’s on his way out the door, $14,175 richer. The final table finished with a few big names to scare up a little rail-bird interest. Here’s the chip count for you:

Event 25
One of the fan favorites, the $10,000 World Championship Heads-Up is getting ready for day two. Some early day 1 busts saw T.J. Cloutier, Vanessa Rousso, Steve Wong and Patrik Antonious all ousted early on.

Event 26
Unlike some of the other day one’s we’ve seen with there are no gaping chip leaders after day one of the $1,500 Razz Event. Leading the pack is a tie between Barry Greenstein and John Turner with Vanessa Rousso not too far behind in third.

Event 27 and 28
Today will see the next $1,500 NL Hold’em event get underway, with (Event 28) a $5,000 PLO Rebuy tournament starting at 5pm. With many of the top pro’s engaged in other tournaments, we’ll have to wait until the tournament gets underway to know who’s going to be playing where.
