Do you think publishers are starting to realise they need to release good games to get sales now? It seems good games like Call of Duty 4 are selling really well, and some of my friends that are pretty casual gamers have heard of it and know about it. EA’s output has really improved in quality as well, its games are no longer something to be scoffed at. But then theres still a ton of crap being sold so fuck knows.

Maybe its the increasing cost and time required in developing games this generation means publishers can’t afford to put out a load of crap out and hope some of it sticks as much as before.
